Workshop in pics

Another amazing workshop sadly had to end this weekend.  More inspiring people with such fresh and spontaneous ideas for weaving. Even those brand new to the art just soaked up the weekends play with colour, technique and texture. Everytime I have a workshop I feel that I’m repeating myself with adjectives about the wonder I encounter. It’s not something I would ever have thought possible…but it is.

I felt that I worked the participants pretty hard, as the workshops are really a weekend learning how to weave and being exposed to a myriad of techniques to spark play and develop a free spirit toward the weaving. This is in addition to seeing how the Saori system of looms and accessories work together to give you more time to just weave and create. So much so that weaving for lots of projects such as clothing is possible in a short time.

All participants travelled at least over an hour to get to Curiousweaver Studio, and one travelled from Adelaide in South Australia!!  Special thanks to Barbara, Liz, Paula, Angela and Lee!
