Extra Fine Cotton Palettes

 
These extra fine 100% quality cottons are a new standard range. Available in special Saori Curiousweaver sets of 9 x 180g cones in different color palettes. Yarn is 3 ply (10/1 x 1 and 40/1 x 2).  This is approx. 2030 metres per cone(180g) and a total of 1.620 kg. This unusual ply creates a touch of a slub look on the yarn.

Cottons

Very limited amount of cotton sets from Japan.  Small amounts of rayon, or lurex may be in the textures. Each set contains 10 cones of different thickness and textures within the colourway.  Each set contains 1.38kg – 1.52kg of yarn in total.

Setts for Weaving

The conventional set up for threading the reed on a Saori loom is 5 ends to the cm (12 to the inch). However this can be changed depending on what you are weaving. Some of the limited edition yarns above are a real mix and here is a great sett chart of some common styles of yarn to assist you.

 
Black cotton warp yarn on cone
