Latent Patterns

The simple black warp with the hint of latent pattern is such an elegant yet simple beckoning. The wefts make their crossings to and fro, not always edge to edge, but sometimes building shapes like in tapestry weaving. The Saori approach to weaving lays shapes and colour where the weaver judges in that moment of weaving while creating a cloth that holds together.

In other words, I’ve raved on with lots of words to simply say ”I love to weave”.

Kaz, Simpye imspiration. I hope to make my next warp a black one and see what happens with the wefts. Have just completed my very first garment, adapted from the Japanese pattern book I purchased from you a few months ago. Take a look at my blog to see the pics. I must say I AM pleased with it all!
