Synchronicity

How does synchronicity work? According to wikipedia, which I’m sure is the font of all knowledge,  it is ” the experience of two or more events, that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, that are observed to occur together in a meaningful manner.”

If you look at Terri’s apples project for the P2P2 you’ll notice the green and purples which I also started to warp up before I saw her project emerging. The apples was my photo so I guess it was an obvious connection anyway. The lovely direction that Terri took using diferential fibre shrinkage really brought the photo subject out by using weave textures.

I’m really keen to get together more fabric for designing clothes and continually scour the Center for Pattern Design, Saori, Julian Roberts and have just bought A Cut Above, by Virginia West,  which must be the only book from that period on weave that I didn’t have.

This weekend I finished the warp and threaded it with the Saori cross and threading holder – much easier than doing it on the loom. Now I’m ready to weave.

Oh – love the synchronicity and I’m looking forward to seeing what emerges.

    Happy Weaving,
    Terri
