Two steps forward, one back! Then onwards
I’ve been able to tentatively reopen the studio slowly…very. It was nice to start up with a two hour Saori session.
Robyn has been coming along to the studio for many years. She especially brightens my world. The cloth on the loom was completed which has been in hibernation over the covid times. Seeing something completed has that real sense of achievement. This cloth was matched to a particular painting in her home and will be cushion covers beneath it.
The yardage was wide enough to be very flexible in the cushion construction so it will be great to see the final outcome.
Two other weavers Fran and Carolyn took to the loom ‘thirstily’! Being able to weave with others after this prolonged time seemed a bit otherworldly or surreal in some way.
