New ways for 2023

2022 has finalised its ways and we begin again in 2023. This brings some changes for Curiousweaver Studio as there have been challenges over the last three years which leaves me at a crossroad and I am now winding down the general retail aspect of the business.

I will continue to be a registered SAORI studio and tutor offering personalised tuition, zoom sessions and other group booked workshops for the SAORI weaving style. It will also give me time to explore crossovers in weaving and art which I will continue to share on this blog.

General SAORI sales will be forwarded to the two other registered studios in Australia at Dyeing to Weave and Art Weaver. I am also prepared to work with these studios in recommending the best equipment for your needs should you need or like it.

A deep, heartfelt thanks to all my retail customers over the years as it has always been more than a sale for me. Handweaving really is a connected thread that brightens all who are inclined to travel its path. It can be a consuming journey or a brief dabbling. A positive spark in a world that often doesn’t seem that postitive.

SAORI products continue to be available as listed on this site until sold out. Books and other smaller accessories may still be available for in person studio sessions.

As 2022 came to a close I was able to hold a couple of limited number workshops (due to the Covid wave rise). They were delightful and here are the results! A couple of weavers coming for their second time!
