Another workshop in Paradise. I suppose dear readers that it becomes monotonous hearing about the wonders of weaving in my Old Bar studio workshops, but I can only, once again, yell ‘WOW’. With only 4 weavers, this intimate workshop provided a space for great diversity of technique, styles and colours. In fact it was quite dramatic for each weaver to be so different in approach. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves and thank the weavers, Trisch, Pamela, Magdalena and Kathy for an inspirational two days.

Such lovely, vivid colors!

Yes Meg the colours were amazing. Seeing so many weavers experimenting with colour makes you really appreciate how differently others see things and what colours and textures they are drawn to.

Hey Kaz, I love the photos – all our work looks so beautiful and unique – like nothing else out there! I loved doing your workshop and only wished I lived closer so that I could learn more and more from you. Since doing the workshop with you I’ve been online a lot, viewing other types of weaving and most of them seemed conventional, with traditional types of designs which I’m sure were technically perfect but sad to say looked very boring despite the amount of hard work I’m sure went into them. I’m so glad I discovered Saori weaving and can’t wait to get my loom and start weaving.
