I recently hosted a trio of sisters in a family craft get together in the studio.  These types of workshops are fantastic and everyone is off to a flying start right at the beginning. We were also joined by Jennie who travelled down from Queensland to weave with us and her work is pictured here. I always think that sisters will weave with similar colours etc.  I don’t know why I think that because I am very different from my own sisters but somehow its a surprise when the completed weaving is so different in approach, colour and concept. So much for those hidden preconceptions.

It’s a nice way to spend a weekend together if everyone is keen or open to the activity, it allows chat and colour talk, ideas and a tactile, hands on creation of a product. Well, it’s my idea of a fun time! A warm thank you to Jennie, Terje, Kai and Reet for the warmth and inspiration in the studio over the weekend.
